How to get rid of ulcers – Ulcer is one type of oral ulcers that is shallow and painful to the inner mouth , which is characterized by a break in the mucous membranes. These red and white crest is usually located under the tongue , cheeks and lips , and a gum base . Unlike cold sores, canker sores are not viral related and is not contagious . The exact cause of ulcers is unknown, but they are more common in women than men and is usually related to issues with the immune system .
Ulcers can result from injury due to dental work mouth , coarse teeth cleaning , or biting the tongue or cheek. Another reason is to use a toothpaste containing the sodium lauryl sulfate, which has a drying effect causing the gum to break down in the protection of the surface resulting in pain . Nutritional deficiencies , such as vitamins C and B , together with folic acid , calcium, selenium and zinc can cause ulcers. Another factor may cause a person to ulcers, such as stress , allergies, and hormonal changes . It should be noted that these ulcers may be associated with more serious medical problems , and if recurrence is high, it is recommended to consult a doctor .
How to get rid of ulcers
Canker sores usually go by themselves from the seven (7 ) to ten ( 10) days , however, to minimize the pain faced by over-the- counter anesthetics , and avoid spicy and acidic foods. However , if the pain is unusually large , spreading to other areas or fever with the appearance of ulcers, you must contact or visit the doctor . There are several home remedies that can speed up the healing process and reduce the pain associated with ulcers, they are:
Taking acidophilus tablets four times a day with milk, making sure that the tablets contain living organisms that will stimulate the immune system . Restaurants plain yogurt will have the same effect.
Rinsing the mouth with aloe vera juice several times a day .
Make a paste of baking soda and water , and then apply it directly on the sore .
Rinsing the mouth with saline ( salt and water ) or mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide.
Apply clove oil directly on the pain, it will have a striking effect .
Drink sage tea , swishing it around your mouth with every sip .
Chew papaya leaves , or eating fruit .
Mix one (1) teaspoon of honey with a quarter ( 1/4) teaspoon of turmeric and apply to pain using a cotton swab.
Apply moistened tea bag to the patient this will dry it hurts.
Keep your mouth clean : brush and floss after every meal and rinse with antibacterial mouthwash .
Rinse with vinegar and a spoonful of salt , three times a day .
Use a cotton swab to apply milk of magnesia directly to pain, three or four times a day.
